Dear Los Pen Families,
Our Los Pen staff has been busily preparing for an amazing first day tomorrow, and we are hope that you are just as excited as we are!
In case you missed it, this school year Los Pen is welcoming a new Assistant Principal, Mr. Anthony Bradley. You will see Mr. Bradley two or three days a week. You will also see Mr. Mike Mosgrove, a retired principal who served in PUSD for many years, on our campus. I am grateful to Mr. Mosgrove for partnering with me to ensure an awesome start to the school year. You can read about Mr. Mosgrove below.
Although I have enjoyed a summer of "playing monsters" with my son, I am delighted to be back on campus and thrilled to see all of our learners again.
Our entry gates by our Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) open at 8:15 every morning for optional breakfast. On the first day of school only, parents/guardians will be able to walk their child(ren) to their classes.
Beginning Friday, August 14th, all children will be dropped off and picked up at the gate on all PUSD campuses. Our gates will open at 8:15 AM. Students arriving at this time may eat breakfast or wait at the lunch tables. At 8:25 AM, students may walk on to the playground to greet their friends. Our TK and Kinder students will be escorted to the TK/K play area. Please note, there will be no recess equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tetherballs, etc...) on the playground before school.
